June Pilcher, professor in the department of psychology at Clemson University, explores how getting an appropriate amount of sleep could lead to better choices during the day.

Clemson University faculty recently named Pilcher one of the very best among them by awarding her the Class of ’39 Award for Excellence.

The award, endowed by the Class of 1939 to commemorate its 50th anniversary in 1989, is presented annually to one distinguished faculty member whose outstanding contributions for a five-year period have been judged by her/his peers to represent the highest achievement of service to the student body, university and community, state or nation.

About On the Table

ClemsonTV has launched a new video series that puts experts on your screen when and where you want them. "On the Table," hosted by Peter Kent, provides in-depth discussions from leading Clemson researchers and scholars. The series tackles tough subjects and put topics on the table, figuratively and literally, with something very visual to represent each topic.
