As a veteran educator for the past 24 years, David Riegel has been at the forefront of efforts to help students-and schools-transform. Prior to his current position, Riegel also served Franklin High School in Franklin, OH, as its principal, during which time graduation rates increased from 84 percent to 93 percent. Riegel’s graduation improvement strategy-which focuses on key areas of data analysis-also earned the school an “Excellent” rating from the Ohio Department of Education. Riegel-who has been a teacher and school administrator for 24 years-provides Solutions viewers with a research-based, actionable overview on the application of data analysis to graduation improvement. Data Analysis for Graduation Improvement will: Increase understanding of graduation rates and significant school factors that impact it Demonstrate how to compile graduation rate data and explain it to stakeholders, and Identify specific data points that will help create an improvement plan for your school.
